POST: TEAM MEMBER NGODWANA NURSERY – DRIVERS X2 (P14)

Sappi is on the lookout for an experienced Team Member – Nursery Driver to support the Nursery by moving plants and trays within the nursery in order to ensure that production targets are met and to maintain the grounds.

AS A TEAM MEMBER – NURSERY DRIVER, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

Ensure that plant materials are moved timeously in order to be processed for growth and development
Collect and deliver raw and processed materials from and to various areas in the nursery
Move empty trays around the nursery
Assist with the movement of the growing medium
Ensure that the Nursery are maintained to a neat and safe standard
Mow and slash grass
Ensure that the application of chemicals are applied when necessary
Application of chemical in and around grounds and fenced perimeter
Application of chemical on plants with the use of a mist blower
Ensure that the daily maintenance of equipment is carried out
Complete daily checklist as per procedure and report faults to the Supervisor
Collection of goods and people transport
Collect goods as and when required
Comply with Safety standards in order to have a safe working environment
Ensure that the tractor, trailers and other utility vehicles are in a safe condition to use
Ensure that the correct PPE is used where necessary
Ensure that all equipment is used in a safe manner and is in safe working order

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

At least 6 months experience in Nursery / Forestry / Manufacturing environment
Basic numeracy & literacy
Driver licences (code 8, code 11)
